Why on earth would you post this here? You already know your side of the story and no one here is actually going to give you hers. Unless you seriously expect a comment saying "I think God of War is sexist and should be condemned for it" on a video game forum. (Actually, I might, but I'm too tired to argue something like that right now.)

I don't know if you're being unreasonable or she is, but I'd think that you two would know how to come to a compromise or one of you would have learned to submit in these kind of situations considering you're married.

It doesnt look like he's asking for an opposing argument. He's just sharing a story that others may find interesting. If the OP does want something from us, I would assume it's for us to relate a similar story.

OT: Precisely why I don't have a girlfriend.

Yes, and yes. Also, I have been responding throughout the thread to clarify aspects of the story or give more detail to give a better understanding of the situation.

You need to give her the mean dick.

I have seen those videos where some of them yell and then smash consoles. You need to be cautious when she flips.

Sucks to be you

but thanks for sharing.

Not such a big loss. God of War isn't that great anyway.

OHHH!!

Around the Network

thats why I'm single ;D
.. yeh really, thats why.. :L

I feel sorry for you, try talking more about it and ask her why she thinks it's wrong. (Because her excuse was completely fake by my opinion, something else is bothering her.

Good on you for standing your ground, it's just a game after all, she needs to relax.

Loving some of the generalizations here. Makes me feel so much better about being a member on this site. ;)

To be blunt she is just ignorant to the subject matter. A lot of people judge video games based solely on pre conceived misconceptions. Unless she wants to become more educated on the matter and actually learn about the medium you can sit there and argue with her until you run out of oxygen, she isnt going to listen. This applies to pretty much anybody and gaming. I just had a recent issue with someone calling me a "child" because all video games are "made for children". It didn't matter what I said he wasn't going to change his stance on this.

As far as this and being married now man thats a tricky one. I say stand your ground unless it really really creates a problem. If you dont judge her hobbies and interests than she should treat you the same.
