Wait, this was the very interesting news???

Yep. It's our fault that we took it this way. We needed to be more realistic.

I feel sorry for Nintendo fans, they were looking out for it, and then...

Though it seems like bit odd move from Ubi, it must be what they figured it's the best business move. I can see why WiiU owners are upset, but than again, after ZombiU selling only 320k, I think Ubi doesn't want repeat of that. Still very weird to do it so close to release date, and on top move it to GTAV's release time-frame.

A small install base of a new console always buys more software than a large install base of an old console.  It would have a done a few hundred thousand copies on Wii U throughout the next few months.  Origins didn't sell very well initially.  It was only after Ubi quietly dropped the price from $59 to $39 that popularity and word of mouth started to pick up and it became a big seller.

The Nintendo-Editor of IGN just pissed off his entire audience. I'm still scratching my head on what he was thinking.

I'm guessing his thought process began and ended with, "lulz!"

He is. Jim Sterling should take notes. This is how it's done.

Yes this is the news. It's pretty significant. Not my problem you guys assume things, come on. Be realistic.

Ice cold. What did you think Nintendo fans would expect when you say you have interesting Wii U news?

Such a son of a bitch... Lynch him!

This is why hyping Nintendo news from IGN should get you banned.

People have it wrong on this one. NG3 was co-published by Nintendo, they were not the main publishers (Tecmo was), that means both companies had publishing rights of the game, so there were less "bottlenecks" to either of both companies to do "whatever they want" in terms of publishing the game.

Bayonetta 2 is purely "owned" (in terms of publishing) by Nintendo. Before you say anything, the Sega logo on the trailers is because Sega is helping developing the game (and they still have the rights of the IP) they don't have any publishing rights as far as I know. Sure a port could happen but it could be something similar to ME1 which took 5 years to appear on the PS3.

Or it could be as simple as changing the name to "Bayonetta 2: Black Edition"

If it was as simple as that then Mass Effect 1 could have appeared on the PS3 way before it did by just changing the name.

That's a possibility. Just because Bioware didn't do it doesn't mean they couldn't have done it.

That's what IGNintendo has been doing all this past generation, and now carrying it into the new generation apparently. They know the Nintendo segment of the site brings in no traffic, so they make up bullshit to try and troll for hits.

Fire him now, IGN.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Unbelievable. That's like me telling my girlfriend I have big news when she comes home from work. Then, when she arrives, I tell her I slept with her sister.

OUCH. Considering this was the only demo on WiiU in stores at launch this is just... embarassing.

I've played it a few times (at stores natch) and frankly there was nothing in the gamepad use (aside from the mentioned 2 players on seperate screens) that made me want to use the gamepad. I'd sooner play it with the Wiimote or pro controller so PS360 fans really have nothing to worry about.

This leaves only The Wonderful 101 still to launch before March? Or was that moved too?

Wonder if ZombiU will be moved to 360/Smartglass at some point too.

And in no way is this Ubisoft stabbing Nintendo in the back. Ubisoft has one reason for existing. To make money. Clearly with the sales of non-Nintendo games on WiiU and WiiU sales in general, leaving Rayman Legends a WiiU exclusives would be a loss of revenue. And in no way would this game boost system sales so they absolutely made the right move. Nintendo screwed themselves here.

By delaying the Wii U version too? That's a slap in the face to everyone who anticipated the game.

Like i said, Nintendo should jack Ubisoft's royalty rates through the roof for the next year.

They shouldn't piss off the only western third party publisher that actually seems willing to develop WiiU exclusives and port most of their games to the Wii U.

Yes delaying the game for the Wii U sucks, but Ubisoft probably expected better sales from their Wii U library. It wouldn't make sense for them to release the ps3/360 version months after the Wii U version. We have plenty of examples that show late ports just don't sell well as retail titles. Look at most of the Wii U's third party launch games, or Bioshock and Mass Effect 2 on the ps3.
