Exacty. But consumers end up losing in the end though. There will undoubtedly be millions of people who buy the next Xbox without knowing that u can't play used games and requires always-on online.

No. They have sources and they are very confident that this is true or else they wouldn't be 2 articles about this.

always online means something big.

1) they'll drop XBLive for certain parts of online activity
2) they'll force everyone to have XBLive if you own a NXbox
3) they'll use a subscription purchase structure so everyone has XBLive.

That I'm ok with.

What I don't like is the loss of used gaming. Means you also lose ability to borrow or bring your game to a friend's house... unless its tied to your XBLive ID and therefore you just log into your buddies machine. MS would more than likely do that than lose some of that feature capability.

They'll also likely offer a $10 pass or something to allow used games to continue while making something from it.

If the 360 and PS3 did not allow used games or sharing games I would defiantly go to PC only. It seems like it would face too many lawsuits to ever happen.

That has nothing to do with it. PC is top if the line so if I am limited to piriting or buying new only I might as well go to the best. 

The prices on pc/steam do negate the inability to trade the games in. I am all for no used games if i can get deals like that for console games. Services like PS plus are already experimenting with digital subscription based services. Not many seem to be complaining. It should be fine as long as companies show value proposition to the consumer. Otherwise we can only expect big games to sell even more so than they do now. 

wow the edge article made durango look horrible to me, inferior graphics to ps4, focused on motion controls and no used games, makes me feel like vomiting
