Sony will have to try REALLY hard to outdo Nintendo's comeback with Wii and DS. Don't forget, Nintendo came from really far away after gamecube. They went straight to the top, a remarkable feat. Can Sony make a bigger comeback? It's to early to make such predictions, they would have to move mountains to get back were they once were.

that's the prediction, sony will go from being a near bankrupt company, to one of the biggest entertainment companies ever once again..

as much as thats great for Sony (especially dont want to be Bankrupt!) Sony wont make the biggest comeback? While Vita is a great specs Handheld, they lost terribly to 3DS, Seems worse than ps2 vs GCN at this point, 3DS is on a roll this year and Vita will be very very lucky just to get over 7mil hardware units sold which is barely half of 3DS year. 3DS this year will be huge (im predicting over 20mil) as for console war, PS4 and Nextbox all have a chance to be #1, even Wii U! Nintendo is only doing bad cuz it has no games, its early to say who will win, even when all systems have launched! There is no way Sony making the biggest comeback unless Vita suddenly starts to take all the sales from 3DS which is almost the same chance as the Virtual Boy being labeled Nintendos best idea

Gaikai will be important for the PS5, when most people actually have internet fast enough to properly use it. Also, for the "biggest" comeback in history Sony would have to surpass the PS2, no way in hell. Let's all just wait until the console is properly announced, goddamit. All this hype without any solid information is just annoying...

You can stream HD movies with a 6mbps connnection on netflix, and you can stream games with an 8mbps connection on onlive.. there shouldn't be a problem streaming games next year onto the next playstation.. considering most people have upped to a broadband connection in the U.S at least

Numbers say otherwise...The average bandwidth globally is 2.6mbps, with the U.S only being 6.7mbps (And the U.S is on number 12 globally). With an annual change of 0.3mbps (aprox.) most people on the U.S alone won't be able to play cloud gaming for a very long time.

How do those numbers say otherwise..

and gakai could just be an option in addition to what ps plus already offers, like I stated.. also there's a reason a console comes with RAM.. they could store some of the information onto the system.. without having to stream a game in it's entirity

According to this link 119 Mil. people in the US don't have broadband at all while 19 Mil. don't even have the option to get it. According to this link the average speed is 6.7Mbps, which would not be fast enough for onlive (so I'll go ahead and say it won't be enough for Gaikai either), so you can imagine how many people below average with broadband won't have the required speed either. Add the people without broadband in and certainly ~50-60% of the US citizens currently wouldn't be able to use a streaming service like Gaikai.

Don't get me wrong, Sony will probably turn Gaikai into something incredible, but this gen won't show Gaikai's true potential.^^

this is good news.

Sony sold 1,558,776 million units more then 360 in 2012(the front page has been updated since i got this number PS3 72.4, 360 74m down from 74.4, PS3 up .2 i think, so likely 1.2-1.3 is the gap now) if PS3 can sale that much be yr.'s end, or get a big boost from it's up coming releases, then PS3 may win by end of Dec 2013.

My prediction is this:

Vita will be abandoned and dead by 2014.

Sony will go a crazy ivan approach with PS4 to try and replicate the Wii, it will fail and the Durango or Wii U will dominate. The industry will shrink greatly as a whole.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Leo-J, please correct the following:

- NYC building sold at 1.1 billion to The Chetrit Group, not 2 billion. 900 million difference is quite a lot.

- Stock is rising not because of their performance, but because they are selling their assets and the yen is in their favor, quite a difference

- Sony has been on the verge of making a comeback since 2006, hopefully you are right

- Never bet against Nintendo

Lets wait for their Q3 results until then.

Which by the info I showed you (and also KHLover) this isn't true, and won't become true for a very long time. Even if you can store some data on the console, you still have a lot of bottle necks. If lose your internet connection you can't even play a single player mode. If you lose the connection during a single player game you could lose all your progress. Playing online using cloud gaming will require at least the double amount of bandwidth since you have to stream the game plus the connection to the server. Overall cloud gaming will not become a standard for A LOT of people (that includes core gamers) for a very long time. And at the beginning of the gen not many people are going to use it...just look at OnLive.

Grim prediction.

Exactly, i remember wen 3DS was having trouble (not as bad) as wii u is and everybody saying Vita will dominate it! Im saying this for all consoles and handhelds! Wait intill after a year or two to judge unless its alnost 100%! Wii U has the two main issues right now! People think cuz its selling bad and under x360/ps3 that it'll get crushed by ps4/nextbox? Well guess wat! Thats absurd, both current systems are much cheaper with heavy bundling and have a 6/7 year gaming library, so relax and the fact that there aren't any games for wii u yet? Really? Even though I blame Nintendo for having a shitty launch doesn't mean there down for the count! Anybody that thinks this will make wii u and ps4 then GCN/PS2 era again is highly mistaken! Just wait intill next year, mark my words (srry Vinnie, this aint toward you lol)

I find it funny when people say that PS3 will pass 360 and win this generation. I guess they forgot that the Wii has almost 100 million in sales.
