Thought the same when I saw the images - game looks definitely very good but enemies seem to be a little bit low-poly and textures seem to be quite bad on enemies. But that's complaining at a high level - the game is pushing ps3-capabiities to a limit so graphics are nice but far from perfect. Looks a bit better than Uncharted to me.

To inform you both, Naughty Dog said this was still Alpha (though I think it's just you two, as the graphics look their sharpest yet). To look that good in that stage is saying a lot, because most complete console titles don't look that good. Come release, I expect graphics awards across the board (as is the natural order of things with this team).

I wouldnt be surprised if it didnt happen though considering the "wide-linear" approach whereas say, GoWA will be ..GoW. Maybe even Beyond will look better. Like I dont doubt NDs ability for one second and if it was Uncharted in the title: I would agree without any hesitation. But it is.. harder to polish and produce that same type of attention to detail when a game has alternate paths and a bigger overall playground (duhh). So we'll see, but yeah, the fact that it might win is still nothing short of amazing. We dont really know just how "wide" it will be either. Like.. we saw horses and Ive heard of.. cars.. ? Like what the fuck, I dont know xD. Halo 4 for instance is getting some real ass competition from Journey this year, they're like tied. The difference being Journey is pretty damn linear, short and more artsy. (Thats not to say Halo 4 doesnt have amazing art either). But the past years were all pretty much dominated by UC and GoW. Remains to see if TLOU will spark that level of fidelity, time will tell.
EDIT: Hell with the recent increase on the PC front from even critics, I wouldnt be surprised if Crysis 3 got the most awards and the PC stopped being ignored as much as in the past.. (perhaps until new consoles xD)
