Yet RE6 will probably still outsell RE5 in the long run. I know it had a price cut to $30-$40 in most places in the US, and was even as low as $19 on Newegg.

It's just that simple.

It also has the PC release which comes in march,...  I'm a bit confused though. Are VGC Re5 numbers really wrong? is it not counting gold, or am I confused.

VGC has Re5 at 8.14 million including their not accurate PC numbers.

Resident evil 4 ps2
capcom: 2.3 million vgchartz: 3.62 million

street fighter iv
capcom: 3.2 million vgchartz: 3.7 million

RE: operation raccoon city
capcom: 2.2 million vgchartz: 1.64 million

RE6:
capcom: 4.8 million vgchartz: 3.79 million

it's hard to believe that there are a million copies of RE6 on the shelves

Capcom numbers a month old as well.

Raccoon City definitely undertracked, it initially shipped 1.7, then it shipped a further 400k, then another 100k.  Would not do that unless the first then second lot selling through.

RE6 shipping an additional 300k makes me think the first 4.5m must have mostly sold through also.

Dunno how that happenes with RE4, the Wii version is overtracked also though only a couple hundred thousand.

I agree with raccoon city, but resident evil 6 not necessarily. Resident Evil 6 was a big title, and that 300k shipment could be just to a few regions it sold well in, such as Japan. From NPD and the PAL charts we know it bombed hard(compared to RE5) in Europe and America.
