I spend about 100-200$ a year. WoW cost 150$ for 10 months (I generally take 2-4 month breaks). I spent 50$ on 3 games last year. I still feel like I spend too much on games as I got around 30-40 games from this gen while normal attachment rate is 8-10. Sometimes I get a game for my bday and christmas.

You and me both.  I probably have over 15 or so games I have yet to start or finish.

Add me to this list. All someone needs to do is look at my steam list and see how many games i have yet to even start never mind finish x_x

I always tell myself that I'm gonna complete certain games, so I can cut down on the ones I need to play.  But, that never happens.

Thats what i always do too, the worst thing is is when you start playing a game, but then get another game before you finish that one and then start playing that one too, and then when you go back to the other game you dont have a clue whats going on so you ether dont just finish it or have to start again lulz, that ever happen to you?

Ya for sure that has happened to me.  When I first started skyrim, I thought I would beat the main storyline fast, but to this day I have yet to finish it and had absolutely no idea what was going on when I played it a couple of months ago.  I did that with battlefield 3 too.  Had to read up on what happened in the beginning of the game so I didn't have to replay it, but I did finish it.

Not all that much for me. My brother and girl friend are both gamer's so between birthdays and Christmas we get most of the games we would want to play in any given year also because I don't really enjoy playing online sharing games is no problem.

No limit -- i would say i probably spend ~$2000 a year on games though that may have to change -- all ready i find i am building up a sizable backlog of games i still need to play or want to replay.

No real limit for me.

Although this year may be the first time I adopt a rule I got from Basil, that is no buy at full price ($60)

That and I may put a general budget of ~$250

Welcome back after your day hiatus!

Probably 200-300 a year. Maybe more if I buy a system.

Don't lie to us Spurgey. Everyone knows that 200-300 ALONE goes straight to the Pezus is Magic Fan Club: The Official game.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

I selected the last option because, even though I'm not loaded with money, I get as many games as I need(want) due to the fact that there aren't a huge amount of them. However, I probably would say $200/6 months (not $400/year because it changes).

2012 Purchase List -
- Theatrrythm (270kr)
- Virtue's Last Reward (270kr)
- Mask of Miracle (350kr)
- Pokémon White (300kr)
- Eshop (300kr)
- 3D Land (400kr)
=

1890kr = about 300 USD

This year will be a bitch, with Wii U purchase, probably Layton, Wind Waker HD, MH3U and Pokémon. I will delay my purchases of other games. So this year about -
4500kr = much more than last year. (710 USD)

Hmm, if I were to do a list like this, I spent about $250 in 2012.

However, some of the games I got were gifts, had discounts, were paid by giftcards or store credit, etc.

If I were to say how much I WOULD have paid without all of that, it would be well over $400.  I got lots of good deals in 2012.
