My prediction:

We know for sure that PS3 was at 70m mark at the beginning of November. Last Q3 they shipped 6.5m PS3. This year I predict -15% (in line with sales in US & JP which we know are over 700k worse than last Q3) = around 5.5 for this Q3 = around 74.5m for PS3 at the end of 2012.

If the money from the sale of their building in New York counts toward this, which I believe they said was 1.1b, then there's little doubt that this'll count as a profitable quarter. If not, hard to say one way or another.

Pretty much in line with my prediction from the begining of the quarter. However, after seeing MS shipments of 5.9 I don't think Sony shipped much less than them.

Yes, but people for some reason think Sony has shipped 1.2million Ps2's in the last 2 quarters because of ambiguous press release after the financials were released. Yet the ignore hard evidence of the Ps2 declining every quarter and shipping less in Q3 last year than these people expect Sony to have shipped during the slowest times of the year this year.

PS3 is down 900k-1m this year (from 6.5m) and you write that Sony will magicaly ship 900k more PS3 instead?

That's the last shipment... so I guess Sony will put the maximum possible in the stores.

I think PS3 shipped over 7m this quarter.
