The guys above seem to think so. I have no idea what the figures are though, I just kind of assumed. Especially with rumors of built in Kinect 2.0 in the next Xbox, they wouldn't do that if it wasn't popular

You said that it got a load of casuals to move away from the Wii. Kinect only sold like 20m units. Even the move sold like 15m.

Which includes every sold Move controller (also ones bought as a second or third controller) plus the optional Navigation controller, so don't be surprised if the Move install base is only half of 15m.

Fact is MS got a lot of casual fans due to Kinect which would've never bought the 360 otherwise. Where they came from is impossible to say (unless you make a survey), but some of them definitely came from the Wii userbase, others from "nowhere".

Please note that I'm not saying that Move didn't bring casuals to the PS3.

Why does it matter if it includes both the Navigation controller and the Move controller? From a business standpoint it doesn't matter. They have sold 15 million units of the Move.

I always said if Microsoft focused more on new and unique IPs like Sony does instead of wasting their time with Kinect so much, they would have won this gen.

Really? I thought the Kinect sold really well. Didn't it get a load of the casuals moving away from the Wii?

LOL no.

I didn't mean they had any impact on Wii sales. I meant some of the casual gamers (who primarily wanted motion control based games) were attracted by the "cool new thing". Plus 20m is pretty strong considering it cost almost as much as the console at launch.

Sounds like Microsoft and Epic may have something else going on besides Gears of War.

PS3 has already past xbox.
