ok its like this, since i was young i knew that sony was dominating, heck people didn't have gcn came to me to play ssbm and mk dd. Anyway all im saying is i heard talk of sony dominating Nintendo with ps3 (brutal comments and articles), didn't happen, then psp which i thought was awesome, then came the Nintendo will lose the handheld market (psp dominating ds), then over a year ago, its worse Vita destroying the 3DS (cuzz its specs are amazing). Now i hear wii u will get a far distance from the others. Im trying to say can we wait a year or two to judge 1st? I never said nintendo will win. Just saying wait and see, thats all!

I'm not a soothsayer, it's just a prediction based upon Wii U's current situation. So, you were really just saying wait and see instead of disagreeing or?

well you have to look at when vgc stopped tracking PS2. according to wiki, PS2 as sold 155m ww as of march last yr. cause they won't stop tracking, until it stops selling, while ds sits at 153m.

PS2 may be discontinued, but there are still PS2's sitting on shelves.

at least psp did half of ds, gamecube and xbox combined wasn't even a third of ps2!

lol and psp, GC, and Xbox are like close to 125m combined right lol.

Anyway I would love another power struggle between MS and Sony. THis would trigger an innovation war... instead of capitalism.

Although in one hand,I would also love to have all players in one side of the table for a more active community.

Not really, The gamecube in the early days was:

adequately priced, selling like gangbusters, had multiple software release and sustaining software like zelda and smash brothers, had decent 3rd party support and did not selling at an operating loss.

The Wii U doesnt have anything like that.

Actually, iirc the Gamecube did indeed sell at a (small) loss at launch and arrived a year after the PS2 had a commanding lead.

The WiiU is launching a year earlier than its 8th gen competition, has its own unique controller/hook, and is coming off of a hugely successful console.

The Gamecube didn't have anything like that.

And thanks to the million redesigns it had.

And it was a kid friendly handheld so all parents will obviously buy it for their kids instead of a console.



same thing could be said wit ps2 but instead of kid friendly, it was breaking alot, 5 friends of mine can probably have bought 13 ps2 cuz of this!

Sounds legit. Mine never broke and I don't know a single person whose PS2 broke either, PS2 is indestructible, confirmed?

I'm always amazed at the incredible adventures and merits attributed to the mysterious friends of forum users.

Fun fact; the 360 has only sold about 37 million or less because everyone has had to replace it at least once due to RROD and other issues, the stories on the boards prove as much.

yes exactly, even though vita is getting defeated, lets wait another year, We kno 3DS won but to say its doomed? It hasn't got its price cut yet, and it can turn it around. Same as wii u. ITS bad right now obviously, but then again there isnt any software out yet! PS4 will easily dominate but just like everybody thought of ps3 would destroy the competition, i'll hold my vote and wait intill 2015 to see where everybody will end up!

No way. There is no indication of that. Just fans really exited and saying outrageous things. If Sony does destroy MS/Nintendo than i'll have to look at some other consoles than PS4. I have without knowing supported consoles that are generally 2nd (Original xbox) or 3rd (PS3) though. The exception being DS but there was more buzz around PSP at that time making me think it was doing better. No regrets with any purchases though.

Because the Playstation brand is INDESTRUCTIBLE , PS3 released at 600$ with "no gaemz", low end of ports and without a clearly advantage over X360 and it will still sell over 80 millions.
