Hopefully other stuff than shooters will be at launch of the PS4.

Man whatever happened to Kaz saying Sony would wait for MS? Is this sort of uncertainty what we can expect from Sony next gen?

It's a console reveal. It's the only thing it could be.

But it is. There's nothing else it could be. -All their games for the year have already been revealed. An event to discuss these games again just doesn't' make sense. -Vita isn't the future of Playstation, at least not front and center. Although a Vita pricecut or redesign is possible, I expect that to be second fiddle to the PS4 reveal. -Sales are horrible across the board for all consoles. Destination Playstation is a retailer event where they discuss their games and stuff they have planned for the year. Playstation Meeting is 5 days before Destination Playstation. Why? PS4 news would leak at Destination Playstation so why not make a controlled announcement and invite all the media? Makes perfect sense.

But you can't say that you know it without being part of the group who REALLY knows.  Just because it makes sense and you can't think of another thing that it could be, doesn't mean it is confirmed and has to be what you think it is.  There's always that sliver of doubt in cases like these.

You're the one who's in denial, unable to grasp the idea that there's even a chance it could be something other than the PS4.  You are making an assumption that it is, just as anybody who doesn't know for a fact that it will be the PS4 unveiling.  What about this concept can you not comprehend?  

edit: Let me also say that "pretty much confirmed" is not the same as "confirmed."

The fact you're asking that proves you aren't grasping the concept.  I am not saying it isn't the PS4, I am just saying we don't know for a fact that it is the PS4.  There's a difference in saying "I can't imagine it being anything but the PS4" and "It is the PS4."
