it's not listed in the OP, at least not for Team ICO, which is why I asked.

Platinum Games makes third party titles for everyone. Yes, they are responsible for a second party sequel of Bayonetta, but that still belongs to Platinum. Nintendo just paid for that games development to bring the niche crowd over to their ball court.

I thought that since he's listing other 3rd party developers PG would of been up there as well, but if he's only listing 3rd parties that is developing 1st party titles, then I understand why it isn't

Nintendo needs Platinum because they will need Japan when Microsoft and Sony share the bulk of the western devs and Sony and Japan go in a tug of war for Japanese support to their consoles.

Also Nintendo has been working pretty closely with lots of other large studios(developers), such as Capcom, Namco Bandai, and probably a few others that I can't think up of on the spot.

No it isn't. Game Freak is a private company. Perhaps you're confusing it with The Pokemon Company, which is part-owned by Nintendo and part-owned by Game Freak.

Fun fact: Game Freak has made one game for the PlayStation and two games for the Sega Mega Drive, plus a PC-Engine game. The most recent of these was the PlayStation game, in 1999.
