This is getting very interesting. I'm starting to think this game may actually come out.

It should be noted that the official Square Enix Japan website has been updated countless times since Yoichi Wada hinted The Last Remnant on PS3 was cancelled at a Square Enix investors meeting on June 24, 2009. In the almost 4 years since then, The Last Remnant for PS3 has never been removed from the official Square Enix Japan website. Instead, it has been continually moved forward a year like FF Versus XIII has.

We are STILL talking about this game? I think I got it in 2008.... it was fun, but not something I'd pay $20 for now.

 

EDIT:  Yes, a broken mess.



Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

I want it. I heard it was open ended and that it has loads of side-quests and HD towns. Also, the PS3 version may have more content or even be a remake like what they're doing for FFXIV.

This probably has something to do with the famitsu polls or some polls I saw on the magic-box where Japanese fans keeps listing this as a most anticipated title for PS3. It's been listed I swear every month.

If people complain enough they'll get what they want?

Well, I've watched 5 hours of walkthrough on YouTube and I think it looks like a better JRPG than FFXIII and FFXIII-2 combined. It has like 10 HD towns and loads of optional areas that can explore in any order. You can also have like 20 party members during battle. Epic! The story may be garbage, but that's not what I play JRPGs for.
