Well making an exclusive Just Dance for the Wii U would make no financial sense for Ubisoft.  So in 2013 the next Just Dance (even if there is a specific Wii U version, there will be a release on other consoles) will likely be on every console and Wii U won't be the cheapest.  Therefore, waiting for a "Just Dance U" seems like a fruitless exercise.

No one cares about it. Tradicional gamers are negatively biased towards Nintendo after the Wii, plus there are no system sellers on the console, and they know the PS720 will crush it in terms of power. It also lacks appeal to the casual market. Many people bought the Wii because it was a trend and leave it to gather dust after a while. They won't be buying just an "upgrade" with nothing revolutionary.

it is weird to be able to go onto amazon or target.com and be able to just buy a wii u, they are readily in stock. Probably the first time I've ever witnessed an active supply so soon since launch.

I wonder how many people are like me, though. I want one, but I just have other expenses at the moment. A lot of us gamers who grew up with Atari 2600, and later the NES or Sega Mastersystem are getting up there in age. And while we still love to game, there's a lot of places our money needs to go first - mortgages, car payments and repairs, kids/family, weddings, etc.

It's funny, as an adult gamer, to realize that any console launching around the holidays is the biggest PITA ever. Unless my fellow older gamers are making serious bank, most of us are left reeling around the Christmas holiday =D

I do plan to get a Wii U, I just doubt it can happen before April or so.

I am one of the few core gamers who actually held off on buying the first Wii. It was tempting with all the hype but ultimately I knew it was a gimmicky piece of crap. The Wii has offered nothing to core gamers this generation. It has had significant impact in the business world. I just read about the launch of Wii in one of my marketing textbooks. It has also had a significant impact on technology as we see more novel utilization of the traditional gaming console. For any kind of core gamer it's been a nightmare.

I will never touch the Wii U no matter what the price. The console has absolutely nothing to offer me or any other ADULT gamer (with no kids),

^ "Adult gamers" is a bit of a funny term, since what is considered "adult" in the medium of video games would be considered immature in almost any other medium. What with all the gratuitous sex and guns and what not. You don't see people trying to say the Expendables is a mature movie, for example.

In any case, the Wii had a lot to offer "core gamers," and even more to offer "retro gamers." It might not have catered to the 15-30 male market as hard as the shooter box, but it did have it's fair share of great games.
