Also this is what the bidders reportedly paid:

$500k Homeland (Crytek)
$26M for Relic (Sega)
$2.5M for THQ Montreal (Ubisoft)
$3.2M for South Park (Ubisoft)
$11M for Evolve (Take-Two)
$22.3M for Volition (Koch Media)
$5.8M for Metro (Koch Media)

Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/23/thq-assets-divided/

relic went for more than volition? that was unexpected...

Also, koch media buying volition pretty much sucks... oh well...

Yea was hoping someone with better credentials but i'll take anything to see the talent survive under Volition brand. Didn't know they even had an entertainment division but it seems Kock Media were involved with some games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koch_Media

Koch owns the company that published Dead Island and is publishing the sequel to Dead island. I find it funny that a PC RTS developer got sold for more money than Volition which everyone said was the crown jewel of THQ.

Since there is no mention of Company of Heroes and Saints Row are those IPs going with their developers to the new publishers?

wonder if I could do a petition for Nintendo to buy the Darksiders franchise. That has so many mechanics that borrowed from Zelda, it's a natural fit for Nintendo!!! I reckon the big N can grab the studio and license for under $3 mil!!!

I loved the 1st one on my 360 and the second one is just as good.  The franchise has potential...though I would push Vigil to work a little harder on stamping out their bugs.

Vigil's gone. Anyone who wasn't snatched up, or wasn't in the small group being retained to wrap up THQ's business, is getting let go at the end of the week. If they're lucky they'll get a severance package, but since they make under seven figures they probably shouldn't hold their breath. Vigil's workers are about to scatter to the four winds, and that's pretty much that.
