3DS XL is the only... wait, by Layton localization do you mean Phoenix Wright VS Layton?!

No, Miracle Mask. After more or less ignoring it for all of E3, and considering development had only just begun, any news on Smash Bros. felt pretty big. And that was some pretty big news. NSMB2 DLC? Nintendo, especially Mario, joining the DLC bandwagon was a big deal.
Layton announcement wasn't a bombshell, but it was awesome. The sort of awesome we didn't see much of at E3. Likewise, the 8-bit summer program wasn't really a bombshell, but it was pretty cool, and the prospect of weekly eShop sales was quite exciting.
I mean, if tomorrow Nintendo came out and said the Wii U Virtual Console was coming soon, that would be pretty hype, and that's just on-par with the 8-bit summer announcement. How about a DQX localization? That would be along the lines of Layton. Things are already looking up. I don't expect a remodel already, but news about NSMBU DLC is pretty likely. And I wouldn't get my hopes up for more Smash news, but it sounds like they'll have something new to talk about.

It seems that this N-Direct will focus on first party titles and services.

Services? Well now I'm thinking about the VC. As for 1st parties I don't expect any new tittles, just more footage of Pikmin, Wonderful 101, Wario, etc. and maybe with luck Bayonetta 2.
Nintendo and PC gamer

I think they will hold off on Yoshi's Island as well even if it is in development out of respect for Ubi Soft and Rayman Legends. Hard enough competing against NSMBU, throw in a 2D Yoshi game coming down the pipeline and it would make it tougher for Ubi Soft to sell their game. |
Don`t know why those games can`t come to Wii U.
Wii had a Splinter Cell game; DS had a GTA game. Wii U is more geared towards core gamers than Wii and DS were.
Watch Dogs is the wild card. I hope that it lands on Wii U seeing as it would be perfect for the console`s controller.
Nintendo announcing a rival to Rayman wouldn´t kill it. Unless it would come in March aswell.

Hopefully they actually show Bayonetta 2 and maybe even announce Bayonetta or eshop
More Resident Evil, 6 with exclusive Claire-campaign as rumored a month ago

Well, given this comment from Iwata i have already missed 3 predictions: "...I'll be talking about what kind of Wii U titles and services Nintendo is developing."
Doesn`t mean they aren`t coming, though.
I still bet it will something big, so i`ll had Metroid!
