Why isn't there any price comparison on the platforms?

I got this game today. It's a fun romp. I just got to the epic plot twist.

The price is largely identical across all platforms. ($2, give or take a few cents)

Just wanted to post this but no need for another thread...

3DS eShop Version Of Gunman Clive Outsells Android Edition

Posted Mon, 18 Feb 2013 | 07:15 CST by Damien McFerran

Gunman Clive developer Bertil Hörberg has confirmed via his Twitter account that the 3DS eShop version of the game has now passed the Android edition in terms of units sold.

We reported last month that the 3DS eShop version had outsold its iOS sibling, but the Android version was the clear leader.

It's amazing that the Nintendo iteration has caught up and overtaken that version, too — proof that the 3DS eShop offers a viable alternative to Apple and Google's digital store-fronts.

So a userbase with less than 30m manage to outsell the Android userbase which is far greater....  Indie developers should focus more on the eshops of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft (they are but this should be even more proof).  So noname your thread title needs updated!

The best $2 you will ever spend is for the HFR 3D version of this game.

I love the style of cell-shaded graphics that really shine in 3D, it's like watching "The Longest Daycare" in 3D.

Level 7 & up starts showing you some awesome fun.

This game does the best job of showing off the beauty of 60 fps video image, then anything else I have ever seen at 60 fps per image.

So get the HFR 3D version of Gunman Clive, which is exclusive to the eShop only.

Have you beat it in duck mode yet?  I played it a little in duck mode after beating the game on reg but haven't gotten to first boss yet.  I wonder if they even have the boss fights for the duck mode considering you can't fire or kill anything?

Interesting thread. Mobile app stores are getting insanely competitive, but even so, it's surprising to see the 3DS move more of one particular title at the same price point.

Wish I could see a comparison with a title that managed to secure Editor's Choice on the App Store for comparison.

On a related note, apparently spending on mobile games just exceeded spending on handheld console games:

It gets even better. Gunman Clive hasn't been published to the Japanese eShop yet -- the 3DS's best market. The 3DS version beat the iOS and Android versions with a userbase under 20 million, and shows no signs of slowing down yet. I give it another month before the eShop version has outsold iOS and Android combined.

And on a note related to your second comment, Bertil has confirmed through Twitter that his next game is being "built from the ground up for the 3DS." I guess these eShop sales have won him over.

Yay. I just played the game, it was a good 45 min.

Good to see people supporting the e-shop.
