With the Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung/Google all duking it out for the Tablet market, It's becoming increasingly difficult even for major companies to break through... here's hoping Sony pulls it off... They need something to bring them back from the brink, and the news of this seems to have the stock at its highest point since July 2012 so if it succeeds it would be really good news for the company

It does look very nice. it is packing some great specs in a thin sleek package. I don't know what's stopping them from launching something similar that runs Windows RT. Will they do that or not is anyone's guess.

There's absolutely no chance of them being able to compete with the iPad. What Sony should do is arrange a licensing deal with M$ so that they can make Windows 8 tablets. A Sony Windows 8 tablets is a much more exciting prospect than a Sony Android tablet.

Oh shit I wasn't aware of that. Hmm...yeah a cheap RT tablet would be a good idea. A "7 RT tablet would be perfect actually.

Apple, MSFT, Google, Amzn, Samsung......not to mention Asus, Acer, every laptop company. Can you find a more crowded market to compete? Fool's gold there. Hard to see much profit potential.

I heard this tablet has a res. of 1900x1200, a bit disappointed as its not anywhere near the Nexus 10 or the amazing (highest?) ppi on the Xperia Z phone.

I don't think Sony will bring out a Win 8 Pro tablet under the Xperia name, their first one is under the Vaio line.

I really hope there'll be Surface Pro tablet with a res. of 2560x1600.

Looks nice and good choice going for Android. Win8 tablets are useless with no apps.
