Forums - General - VGChartz Animal/Pet lovers thread

Hey there!!

Decided to create a thread for those of us who have pets and love them. I apologise if there's already a thread for this.

Share your stories/pictures of your adorable pets.

My dog, a british spaniel (Brandy) grew up with me since I was 5. When I was in school, he'd walk me to school in the morning, and my friends would be so happy to see him and they'd play with him. And he'd find his own way home after sending me to school!! =D

And he's scared of cats lol. It's been about 3 years since he passed away from the old age of 14. That's pretty old for a dog I guess. Arrrrgh I miss him. >_<

I lost all the pictures I had of him because I lost my handphone, but I'll always remember him in my heart. When my brother gets back, I'll upload some of his pictures. I think he still has some pictures of Brandy in his handphone.

I've been wanting to get a new dog, but I don't know if I can get over him, and I don't know how to cope with the death of another pet should I get a new dog. I cried my eyes out when we cremated him. He's just the nicest, sweetest dog ever.

My eyes are welling up as I type this.

You are the answer to every prayer I've offered.

You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don't know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have.

Don’t…

You should be very happy for the kind of life that you gave to Brandy.

I think that you should get another dog once you are ready to take care of it. It has been several years and maybe your schedule does not give you enough time to feed him, play, etc. Maybe the best best time is to wait when you have children (many assumptions here) so they can have those memories too.

Once you have a dog again, whenever that is, if you can treat it at least half as a nice as you treated Brandy, it will be very happy.

Sad :/

I personally love animals and have had quite a few of them in my life

Right now we have two cats, an African gray parrot, lots of fish and two dwarf hamsters

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

My 12 year old cat died about an hour ago. :(

Some videos on YT back in the day had this cat on my lap as I talked. He was 17 last June when he passed. Best cat a child growing up can ask for.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Guess it doesn't take a lot to guess what my dog looks like...

Sad story though, sorry to hear it :/

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Sorry for your loss :(

As for my losses, our then 16 year old cat that was inherited from my dad's grandpa was put to sleep when I was about 8-9 years old. Thankfully, we got ourselves a new cat shortly after that we called "Maja", so the sorrow didn't last too long. And then it didn't take more than two years for her to have her own kittens, "Kurre" and, "Murre" :3 Luckily there was only two of them so we didn't have to give away or sell any.

I know I've been using this image a few times now, but it's the only one that I have on my phone:

^Murre in all his glory :) His brother kind of looks the same, except he is a bit more chubby. Somehow.

As for their mother, she wasn't too enthusiastic about this photo I just took:

:P

Would have taken a photo of Kurre as well if he was nearby.

Sorry about your dog. It's hard to lose a pet.

I currently have four sweet, little hamsters.

This is Hamtaro. He's the youngest.

This is Leo.

This is Squanto, the oldest hamster I have.

And this is Bulma, the only female hamster I have right now.

Aw, that is so sad!
But you shouldn't tear up. You gave Brandy a incredible life. :)

As for my sad story:
One of our family cats had kittens around Spring time. (We weren't going to keep them.) While that was going on my Dad was in the Hospital several cities away. So, we stayed at our Grandma and Grandpa's house. (My Mom, brother, and I.) Because of that we weren't at our own house all that much.
One day my Mom came home from working to our house just to pick something up and she noticed that our house was on fire. She rushed in and couldn't find either of our Dogs and she only saw one of my Cats. (I guess I should tell you guys that we had 2 dogs, 3 cats (not including the 5 kittens), and a Leopard Gecko.) She looked all over and finally found our two dogs in the Garage and the other cat in their. (Not the mom of the kittens.) She remembered that we kept the Mom Cat and all five kittens in my brothers room so the dogs wouldn't bother them. She tried to open the door but it was blocked by something in my brothers room.
All in all, she called the fire dept. and they found 3 dead kittens and 1 dead Momma cat in that room. Plus our Leopard Gecko.
Only two of those kittens survived the fire. No we have the same 2 dogs and 4 cats. (Two of the original cats and two of the surviving kittens.)

Sorry if that's difficult to read. I suck at story-telling.

I love the random spot the mama kitty has on her face :)

I want another cat (secretly), and I really want to get a tuxedo colored one ;)

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
