What the fuck does "this generation" even mean for a PC?

I think this list is really bad, but... hey you can't argue with fact! (As in these are the games vgc members picked).

StarCraft II > Witcher 2

Witcher 2 isn't that great. It's beautiful but I wouldn't call it a paragon of entertainment.

What??? Y U NO SHOGUN????

Yay!!!

That's an utterly terrible definition of a generation for PCs.....

Well pc's get a boost from next gen hardware because many developers focus on consoles.  The term consoles are holding back pc's are correct.  Once next gen comes out we will see a boost in PC graphics as well because developers will be making more powerful games.

I would like to point out that there are plenty of games that will very literally melt a console already out. I mean, even Metro 2033, from several years ago would probably be defined as "next generation" as far as consoles go.

Yes there is a few games that are great looking on PC including Whitcher 2, BF3, Metro 2033, Crysis, Far Cry 3 etc.  Most games are not developed with PC in mind though
