lol why there should be ''sides'' in the first place? play whatever you want to play and don't become a... never.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but if you could ONLY afford one, I really think you should've gone for the PS3. There's just so much more value for money at this moment in time.

I'm a MASSIVE Nintendo fan who's home is covered in Nintendo memerobilia, but since my other half introduced me to PS3, it dominated my entire 2012. And yeah (stupidly) I felt guilty at first but hey! That's only because I'm loyal. But expanding your repertoire is never a bad thing, and you can enjoy other gaming experiences whilst in your heart always holding another in higher regard.

It's a hard life being a...

Ps I voted 'No' in the pole because if I ever for some obscure reason was forced to choose, of course it would be Nintendo. Just had to get that in there!

I'll always be a Nintendo fan, but that doesn't mean I can't play games games on other platforms. I love my PC and I get a lot of enjoyment from a lot of multiplatform games. You don't need to change sides. If you can, you can play Nintendo games and PS3,360 or PC games, as a gamer it's just natural.

Ive only bought 2 non Nintendo consoles in my life, and was the PSP, because of DBZ tenkaichi tag and some classic Jrpgs remasters (FFIV, Star ocean, BOF III....), the other is the NeoGeo X :P
Although ive enjoyed Sony consoles in the past on friends and cousins houses, i never felt urged to buy them, Nintendo just fulfilled my gaming needs, i didnt have the time or money to play EVERY great game on the Nintendo consoles since SNES up to now, let alone going multiplat.
I think people that play multiple consoles really misses a lot from each console.

hahahaha well... ^^

"Changed sides" during the 16 and 32/64 bit eras. Got burned on the PS1 (overheated) and went back to N64 (Goldeneye 007 was one of the main reasons). I've never looked back since then and knew I should stick with Nintendo and PC combo from then on.

Who doesn't love Mario, Metroid, Donkey Kong or Zelda? Hell, even Pokémon!!. But this formula has been cooked and recooked over and over again.

I find it's usually not the same formula though. That's why it doesn't get old for me; Nintendo is constantly reinventing their franchises with new ideas. Mario Galaxy isn't the same as Mario 64. Metroid Prime 3 isn't the same as Super Metroid. Skyward Sword isn't the same as Majora's Mask. Kirby's Epic Yarn isn't the same as Kirby's Dreamland.

i completely agree with this.  These games come out years apart in these franchises.  By the time the new comes, I'm ready.
