China, Brazil, India, Mexico, Rest of Latin-America, Some Asian countrien and East-europe are gonna buy more consoles next-gen. I see nextbox and PS4 doing near to 100 M. WiiU could do anything. I don't have a clear prediction for that consoles, but maybe 90 M.

 

As for this one, it has already sold huge numbers, and I think it's gonna see a fast and big decrease in sales. Maybe 15 more M.



I dont think anyone (companies) is gonna sell anything near 100mil in fact this gen! The economy is worst, Tablets and other electronics will eat up partial gaming sales (look at Vita) Even if PS4 wins next gen it wont sell more than 80mil. Its not like it was b4.

The trend will stop unless MS or Sony grab the market the Wii lost and then actually continue support for it unlike Nintendo. 15 million more in 7 years across 3 platforms? Only way I see that happening is if they all discontinue their products but why would they do that when they will sell well enough to justify still being on the market (look at the Ps2). I can see all of them supporting their machines well into the next gen. Sony's price tag is still 250. there is still al ot of sales to be had from this machine once it gets cheaper.

We'll see. I think the market could be expanding. And consoles that are Media Centers are going to be popular. They could start to replace some desktop Computers. Plus it could be all you need to watch movies+music, comunicate, have aps, stream, play, check twitter, facebook, skype, etc.

I just hope China gets its ban unlocked and the expanding middle class starts grabbing all the consoles next gen. (Gotta take care of the Grey market though)

Rampant, Full-blown Piracy that is technically in the "grey" side of the law and officials don't really pay attention to it much.

A lot of people seem to think that. If that really happens 3 consoles (or 4 with steambox) are gonna be way to much!
