Launch sales aren't a good indicator. We have a thread here with launch numbers and they don't provide any usefull information. If they did, Vita should outsell both PS3 and X360 lifetime figures combined.


Those are consistent sales over 6 weeks Vita dropped after 2 weeks, unlike the latter most consoles in future will be fully supported by their manufacturer.

ps brand has long long sexy defined toned shapely legs. its the ultimate marathon runner,its gonna come close to another 10M in 2013,then at the end of this year and going forward,it will hit the golden sweet spots for consoles at 199,then 179 and absolutely rake.this is a monster that is starting to hulk out and kick ass and take names,its gonna grab the casuals by the throats(and maybe even the testies) and demand to be boughten,it will flirt its most impressive 1st party catalog at dirt cheap prices and tease ppl until it seduces them into a purchase.and this will continue all the way until one day it taps the wii on the shoulder with its finger,and as the wii turns around,the ps3 says,''sup'',as the wii passes out in shock as it takes sight to the monster standing over it. then the ps3 grabs its belt and yells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VyzII09Hos

The rate at which it sells now brings in a very high probability though. By projecting 13 million for 2013,  8 million for 2014(PS4 year and reduced price), 7million by 2015 end or q2 2016. Wii would have been discontinued by then, due to lack of support and thus making ps3 easily surpassing it marginally by 2016 end.

I'm sorry, PS3 didn't manage 12 million consoles sold in 2012, so you are naturally projecting 13 million for 2013?

What's with people and thinking PS3 will sell outrageously this year? (And the next.) It won't.
And it won't pass the Wii either.

EDIT: Okay, it could sell quite well this year but I doubt it could sell very well in 2014.

New Gen is coming, this gen will die as soon as new consoles are announced.

LOL!

Wii fell so hard not because of Wii U announcement but because of lack of support from not only Nintendo but 3rd party developers.
