Obviously it hasn't been confirmed that it's coming out in 2013, but let's throw hypotheticals on top of hypotheticals anyway.  Say PS4 launches this Fall.  Sony reveals in the early part of this year.  They show full details at E3 (pricing, SKUs, release date, games), but 3 big games from GG, MM, Suckerpunch, and ND are revealed to be coming out in early 2014 and given release dates.  Would you still buy PS4 at launch.  Note that there will obviously be SOME games for it and big third party stuff will look better as I believe the system will do 1080p 60fps and have about 4gb of RAM for multitasking.

Well it depends on what does other games will be on the launch.

Without a doubt. Mainly because I know they will sooner or later come out with PS4 games.

I won't be buying any new home consoles for at least another 2+ years I think.

GG = Guerilla Games = Killzone series

MM = Media Molecule = LittleBigPlanet 1+2 and Tearaway

Suckerpunch = Sucker Punch = inFamous 1+2 (Sly Cooper PS2 era)

ND = Naughty Dog = Uncharted 1+2+3, The Last of Us (Crash Bandicoot PS1 era and Jak & Daxter PS2 era)

If it is backwards compatibility I will buy it day 1 even if it has no games :D

Nope. I need at least 3 titles to interest me before I think of buying a console.

But, as much as I like those 4 studios (aside from GG), there's other Sony teams - first and second party - who could fill the gaps.

So yeah. It would depend on what exact titles were launching with it. And even then, I'd have to give it some serious though about whether I wanted it straight away, or if I could wait for a while.

really... Literally never heard of them with the exception of Naughty Dog had just given up trying to guess by the time I got there :D I own both LBP games for the ps3 just... never noticed the studio name on them, prolly was just too wrapped up in Stephen Fries lovely voice to care :D

As for the OP then.... I would put money on a new Uncharted being out with the launch of the ps4.... you know what would probably sell a great deal on day one tho... imagine a ps4 version of Gravity Rush the vitas big new IP but on massive scale. Get my preorder in right now.
