You don't think the fact that it and the X in the title are blue, that the Red pokemon is shaped like a Y (and the Y in the title is red), or that it has two antlers and legs to make an X shape are bigger hints?

Reason to believe that but Mienfoo and Mienshao are both fighting foxes (or they at elast look like foxes). I would like a change from the fire/fighting formula as well so ma=ight go the way of Ninetales instead. The grass starter is harder to guess, the first form could take it anywhere. Could have Shiftry-style line that is grass/dark, or Breloom-style grass/fighting or a number of others. Water look like it'll either be pure water, water/rock or water/ground.

It depends on the person.  Plus, this little factoid is much more entertaining.
