Forums - Sony Discussion - What the f*** is Ni No Kuni?

Gameplay looks pretty good, but I really don't like the artstyle (not a big Ghibli fan).

Strange that they kept the original Japanese title. Ni no Kuni doesn't exactly roll of the tongue.

Not that I mind.

Enchanting.

Which is a word that gets used often with Studio Ghibli films. For homework, go watch Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, or Whisper of the Heart. Some of the best movies I've ever seen, animated or otherwise. Ghibli films aren't just about magic and friendship, either, as they often deal with loss, tragedy, and personal growth. You might have heard of Grave of the Fireflies, which will just break your heart into tiny pieces.

Ghibli's not involved with the story though. It's all Level 5.

Also binary the games were not announced simultaneously. The DS version was announced first then the PS3 version was announced later.

I believe both games were announced simultaneously, but the platform for the second game (PS3) wasn't identified until some time after the initial announcement.

Will download the demo and get back with thoughts. I warn you though, I laughed at Valkyria Chronicles and that game was hailed as a god send on VGC x'D

IDUNNO IT WASNT MY THING

Ni no Kuni is old German for "Whale's Vagina".

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Probably one of the best games of this generation. So far it seems absolutely amazing

It's Arabic for "Fuck me", No kidding.

Just try the demo it should answer all your questions.

I feel this is a troll post because the time it took the OP to actually write that he could have used it to actually do some research which would have taken all of one minute to find.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward = best game ever made.

It takes less time to Google it than to go through the trouble of creating a thread.... but yeah, it's a traditional JRPG with amazing graphics, high production values, and it might very well be one of the tiny handful of quality JRPG's from this generation of consoles.
