No it was announced months before E3. E3 is used to present the new hardware but their has never actually been an announcement at E3.

Wasn't that simply down to the leak though, the system was leaked and them they followed up an official announcement like 2 weeks after that?

I say they show it in may then show software at E3 & also announce it for sale the next day like they did the Slim . Now that would be FFFF Great.

Ok, I'm already getting excited. I know I probably have a problem, but I'm ok with it and I like it.

I am not sure they will announce the 'Xbox 720' at E3 - as the focus with Kinect 2.0, I think will be much more than 'just gaming' but more interaction. I think they will do their own event.

So I am not sure, but I think it will no more than a 6 month window between announcement and launch. As 'Next Gen' accoutrements seem to really kill sales in the USA - their biggest market.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
