A simple Xbox 720 announcement wouldn't give them the win. It depends on HOW they announce it, what feature the new console has and what games they show off.

No it was announced months before E3.  E3 is used to present the new hardware but their has never actually been an announcement at E3.

No it was announced months before E3.  E3 is used to present the new hardware but their has never actually been an announcement at E3.

If this is referring to the next Xbox, it'll be for the E3 reveal of the next Xbox, but the announcement will still come before E3, if you ask me.

E3 is gonna be off the hook this year. MS has the potential to have the best one too especially since sony tends to divide their announcements over all three events. MS can have a bigger event overall ..can't wait

Also, if they show gameplay of something that really excites people that will also be available at launch then they will win E3.

a pre-E3 show like what they did on MTV in 2005 a month before E3 would be a better idea. It worked wonders. Do an unveiling of the console, then wait to show concrete software details until the E3 conference.
