Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

beautiful world, empty game. is connor even an assassin? cause i dont remember doing much assassinating in AC3. it was a huge let down for me and i've loved all the previous ones. |
I have noticed the world seems empty, truth be told i really havent gotten that far. Hell I still have Conner in his Native American attire, but what i have played so far i have enjoyed, maybe itll change.

Most of the drop comes from Wii and 3DS, one of which has a next-gen successor already out and the other is a next-gen successor :/ |
But you also have the Vita and WiiU added.

you beat me to it on this one... pretty bad really isnt it. |
Not too bad if you consider that last year the week included the whole last 7 days before Xmas, while this year the last two days are in the successive week to the one currently charted.

They performed poorly at launch too, and didn't pick up until after price drops. You might also note that PS3 lost the brand tens of millions of customers. So saying "at least it's better than PS3" is not a good argument. Nintendo really needs to get their numbers up to dominating levels before Sony and Microsoft start launching their consoles. I think selling it for prices higher than 500USD in Europe is not the way to go.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Like a 2D Mario game? |
LOL no. More like a 3D Mario, Zelda, Monolith game, Retro, Maybe even Kirby or Fire Emblem.
My wildcard is either Star fox or F Zero. :)
Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

If they could, they would have capacity to manufacture more than 20million units per year (400k*52weeks) which would be a stupid level of over-capacity. Nintendo is allocating more units to North America and Japan right now, just like they did with Wii. The only number to look at with WiiU is the total sales, not where the shipments are going. WiiU is selling what they can make, and will continue to do so until all of the Nintendo Nuts have their system. After the first 5-10 million units we will see if there is mass-market appeal for SuperWii. |
Can't believe you are still arguing this. Weren't you claiming Europe would get 100k per week earlier. Now it has sold well below that for two (and presumably three through the 29th) weeks. So despite it selling less than you expected, being easily available at retailers and online, and selling for less than retail on ebay, you still somehow think it is selling out? I'm curious, if Nintendo's financials show more than 500k shipped to Europe or ~2.5 million worldwide what will your reaction be? Will you admit that it wasn't sold out or will you just claim it was undertracked?
You claim Nintendo can make 400k per week and they will sell all they can make until they hit 5-10 million. So basically you expect them to continue to sell 400k a week through February? Or will they just scale back production despite there supposedly being enough demand to sell all they make?
Also, when do you think they started Wii U manufacturing? Because 400k from the NA launch to the end of the year would be about 2.4 million. However it would have needed to start at least a month before considering they needed to be shipped from china. That would put the total for the year around ~4 million. Now, most of December's production wouldn't be in time for the West unless they shipped them by air, but apparently so little is going to Europe that isn't a huge factor. So even if they didn't start production until late October that would mean a potential 2.4 million for the West plus more for Japan since shipping time is much quicker with China.
I can't believe I'm arguing it either, it seems so painfully obvious to me but a lot of people can't see it including yourself. Honest question. The WiiU has sold to date 340k in Europe. Do you truly, seriously, honestly think there are only 340k people in Europe who want a WiiU? If you answer no, than you must now agree with me that the systems sales are limited only by supply and Nintendo's ability to get the system in to waiting hands. If you answer yes, and you think there are only 340k people in Europe who want a WiiU this conversation is pointless and I don't know why you post on this site because you have no idea how many people by video games and systems. Beyond that there isn't much point to this talk, you'll see how it all works out when Nintendo sells their projections by March. Cheers.

Black Ops 2 is severely undertracked. I know for certain that there is at least 9.8million copies out there since my friend has played only 35minutes and is ranked 9.8m in the leaderboards for multiplayer. Even adding this weeks numbers it should still be undertracked near 1m.

I think you are BenV are forgetting one thing that will keep PS3360 sales from falling too much next year.....Grand Theft Auto V.
Grand Theft Auto IV incresae PS3 and 360 sales by 80% the week of release http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/39572/Global/
(Wii also had a 105% increase so there may be some other factors I'm missing here..)
