I stand corrected. Oops!
Too much planning, and you'll never get anything done.

See? No wonder Nintendo denies the very existence of these games.

they run from there sham, and that they should
The combat itself isn't bad, but everything was dumbed down for it. i.e. fighting that skeleton with 4 arms. It rarely attacks, it just waits and tries to counter.
And the pace was awful, everything had something to do first. LET'S GO TO THAT TEMPLE... but first we need to open it, and to open it we need x, and to get x we need y. ffs
Well, after playing Skyrim, playing a game like SS was like taking a huge step backwards IMO. Once an infallible staple of Nintendo's arsenal, the last few Zelda games have been pretty ho-hum and lack the magic and excitement that came with each new installment.
I think the last Zelda game I've thoroughly enjoyed was Majora's Mask, and that came out over a decade ago.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
Though I did very much enjoy it, imo it sort of disappointed 'cos Nintendo had been working on it for about 5 years.
In videogame terms, that's an ETERNITY. Like, an entire console life cycle.
The eventual game, at least to me, just didn't look/play/feel like it had been worked on for so long, and had that much effort put into it. It just sort of looked and felt rushed to me, when I played it. I mean, a lot of past Zelda games had FAR less time put into it, and felt like more polished experiences. Nintendo themselves said SS was their biggest and most expensive game ever, with the biggest team of devs they ever used. Imo, you couldn't tell, from the final product.
Then again, I really enjoyed it.

Most of the issue can be put down the Motion Plus ruining the game, it was not needed, plenty Wii games without Motion Plus did stuff that SS uses motion Plus for, Twilight Princess is a great example by itself but loads of others that cover a few things TP didn't show, instead Nintendo used Motion plus and introduced a bunch of neagtive issues directly relating from it. Recalibration constantly being perhaps the worst. Game had a massive overuse of motion controls where not needed and they just detract from the game. |
Recalibration constantly means you were doing something wrong. I certainly didn't have to recalibrate more than once a play-session, if that.
The only thing i really disliked about Skyward Sword was The Imprisoned.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
