Obviously moderators are not forced to abide by the guidelines in extreme cases.
With that being said the offender was banned, though I'd agree that it was unfortunate that the 1 day ban only lasted a few hours. Problem is that we can't ban someone for 2 days, so the next option would've been 3 days and that likely seemed too long for the moderator who handled the situation.

The terms MDF and SDF were thrown around regularly in the first years of VGC. Saying that one user is a "member" of one of these groups is basically synonymous with calling him a fanboy or troll, which is against our forum rules and thus needs to be moderated.

Funny thing, I've had heated argument with many users here, but it never got so personal. I actual like many MS and Nintendo fans here, some of the best members own these consoles.

However, Some of us needs to seriously take chill pill, from all side. If you can't make your case, be quiet. Don't insult no one.
Anyway, my biggest issue with the site lately has been thread quality, Misleading titles, constant thread derailments. Those things needs to be adressed immediately. We have very small community, let's keep it clean and informative.
