This is one of the few times i agree with you, not the list though.
On a side note, nobody's gonna do a best PORTABLE Zelda, that would be eve more interesting

YES IT IS MAGIC.
Majora's Mask easily for me. It's dark, creative, with an amazing atmosphere and superb sidequests. It was really different from the so-long Zelda formula that is getting tiresome with time. Twilight Princess is a close second, just because of the overworld, the boss fights and the general feeling I'm getting from it.

Well, the original and A Link to the Past pretty much tie for first place for me.
ALttP takes everything from the first and expands upon it, making everything even better. However, in choosing only one...
... Taking into account its breakthrough gameplay and design and a full second quest upon completion (not to mention the full color booklet, included map and gorgeous gold cartridge), I'd give it to the original Legend of Zelda in the end. It's my single favorite game experience of all time.

But I love every single one of the console Zelda games.

Oh do i agree with you , imo majora's mask is the best simply because of the powerful mesage it sends ,you can't make everyone happy, but that musn't stop you from doing what you can, and the characters truly made me care for them , i couln't bear to let the kid from the ranch get taken by aliens, i felt horrible when that happened , but the game itself is so unique i love it :)

I never liked the game so much until I understood what legacy it laid on me. Ocarina of Time is superb, don't get me wrong, but Majora's Mask should be the real orientation of what a Zelda game should be. Plenty of sidequests, many interactions with characters, dark, twisted, while not forgetting the temple, bosses and all.
