Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 hits 30 million lifetime sales across PAL regions

Overtracked in that case.

We would have 29.5 in Europe and Australia alone. There are many other PAL regions.

What's your point?

You know that's not the countries where Sony sells officially theirs games... the Brazil options always exists since the PS3 launch and Sony just started to sells PS3 and games here in 2009 or 2010.

What I listed is the official countries in PAL region where Sony sells PS3 and it games.

And?These countries are officialy selling PS3

You never saw the picture of KZ3 launch party in Saudi Arabia?

So, where is Sony getting their numbers from? If it's anything like NPD it would be 3 week old information. But let's claim it's over tracked anyway even though we know exactly how many they shipped at the end of October anyway

I think Sony is using the GFK information (Chart-track).

Its irrelevant.  The console still has to be sourced from somewhere.  Shipment numbers for SCEA would have included any sales in Brazil prior to 2009.

Sales in Israel will be counted in the Shipments from the PAL region, even if it isnt an official country for sales.

And that will reflect in their shipment reports. Not their sales report.

Looking at GFK I see a lot of missing countries. Also, how often do they report sales?
