Forums - Sales - UK Software Charts (Chart-Track) week ending 15th December 2012

Wii fanbase is casual... They wont jump on Wii U, they dont care about brand name.

Playstation and Xbox have loyal fanbases that why Home Console from Sony and MS wont go anywhere but Nintendo has a problem, core gamers wont go back to Nintendo, they are faithfull to Sony and MS because Sony and MS give them the games they want unlike Nintendo.

Good Luck Ninty you will need it.

Handheld market is a different story though.

Only Wii U game at 39 is concerning...

bundled.  Do they count bundles?

Yes with the exception of Wii Sports and Kinect Adventures.
They definitely count NintendoLand bundles.

You should put the following in your OP:

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ remains at No1 for a 5th consecutive week (+14%), equalling ‘Lego Batman 2’ in terms of number of weeks at the top of this chart in 2012.

Square-Enix’s ‘Hitman Absolution’ climbs 4 places to No2 (+91%) thanks to price promotion and EA’s ‘FIFA 13’ remains at No3 for a 6th consecutive week (+8%).

Ubisoft’s ‘Just Dance 4’ remains at No4, helped by a price-promoted Wii version (+10%) whilst Ubisoft’s ‘Far Cry 3’ drops 3 places to No5 (-25%). The trio of Ubisoft big-hitters are back-to-back this week, with ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ down 1 place to No6 (-6%). The rest of the Top 10 remains the same, with Microsoft’s ‘Halo 4’ at No7 (+2%), EA’s ‘Need for Speed: Most Wanted’ at No8 (+24%), Warner’s ‘Lego The Lord of the Rings’ at No9 (+21%) and THQ’s ‘WWE ‘13’ at No10 (+12%).

You hit the 90k mark for the Wii U for europe last week, what are your predication this week?

"Nintendoland now at 45k cumulative sales."

We must not forget that there were two Premium bundles and one did not came with Nintendo Land.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a442410/wii-u-premium-and-zombiu-bundles-make-up-90-percent-of-uk-launch-sales.html

60% Premium Nintendo Land
30% Premium ZombiU
10% Basic WiiU

It's still hard to say but I think we overtracked Nintendo Land (that's obvious) and WiiU already.

@barozi

i just put you in the op.

Wow! Microsoft really dominates the UK! Cheers to them!

Anyone here played LEGO Lord of the Rings?

LEGO games are usually pretty fun to play Multiplayer. I enjoyed Star Wars, Indy and Pirates... So how is this one?

That's hard to say since my previous estimate was (not only but among others) based on ioi's Nintendo Land estimates which turned out to be overtracked.

I can still try it though.

Nintendo Land likely < 10k  in the UK. (~9-9.5k)
WiiU around 14k in the UK then (~29% down), extrapolated to Europe = ~64k

Again take this with a huge grain of salt. Might be totally wrong for Europe but should be fairly accurate for the UK.

So Halo4 about 60k, this week.

This will overtake Reach easily in Europe.

more like 53-54k, i believe halo is overtracked for uk on vgchartz at least for the last weeks.

last week media control was ~52k with an increase of i believe 35% and vgchartz had it at 58k and only 20% increase or something.
