around 8 million.

Its selling around 150k a week now, but natural western sales will drop quite a bit especially early next year. but this will be balanced out by the Increased Japanese sales will see Q1 with Soul Sacrifice, Phantasy Star Online 2, Gundam Breaker and One Piece. So I expect weekly sales to continue around (40k NA/ 50k EU/ 30k Japan/20k others) 150k and eventual near closer to 200 once price cuts take place. So roughly 600k a month.

Of course this number could end up being better depending on what software they announce for the 2nd half of the year (assuming Killzone and Tear away come out in summer). The japanese numbers could also explode with something like Project J or One piece, so I was being quite reserved with my 30k a week in japan.

There will be a pricecut. So i say 7m +

Anyone wanna make a bet with me? I win if it's over 7mil?

Are you betting under or over 7.5mil? I want to be betting over, I don't want to be unsupportive of the Vita.

Im a nintendo fan but i believe vita will sell close to 8 but then again 7.5 seems more realistic(with price cut)!

So i bet under and you over 7.5mil sound good

I don't see that happening with the 3DS lineup early next year; it'll just compleltely destroy Vita sales (will likely be selling below 10k again soon after Christmas, it's only just over it now). Same with NA, 20-25k a week max (on average) seems like the way to go. Of course, it could be better.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

In Vita terms, Q1 2013 is the most packed release schedule it's had since it released in Japan.  14 games in 8 week with 3 more without a release date but scheduled for 'Spring' and 7 more games scheduled for 2013 that could realistically come at any time.

Some decent sized games in there too.  God Eater 2, Tales of Hearts, Phantasy Star Online, Senran Kagura and Soul Sacrifice I expect to all sell decently.  Of course, there's plenty of niche and minor stuff too but that's all that's been sustaining it in Japan so far this year anyway.

It may well dip below 10k again after Christmas (pretty likely, actually), but it'll pick up again on 24th of January and (hopefully) sustain itself until March 28th which is when Muramasa comes out (last of the Q1 games with a fixed release date).

Saying that, Vita has been pretty rocky in hardware terms even with games coming out (barely managed 10k the week of Fate/Stay and Atelier) so I just don't know anymore with this system.

Reckon it'll be lower in NA/Europe during this period though.  There's notable nothing coming out.

i say 7 or 8 million.
