I'll break it down for you.

Teacher goes into a school with a gun.  Shoots antoher teacher.   Is arrested.

That would count as a school shooting.   That kind of thing isn't as rare as you would think anywhere.

(..)

It is shocking that you believe this is the norm in the world. This basically never happens.

Can you imagine what those numbers would have been if guns were forbidden in America, let's say, a century ago?
I guess years of lobbyists brainwashing people and a strange ideology about freedom stand in the way of perceiving that thought. You want to better the world you live in, no matter how hard, you have got to start somewhere.
If i get shot in this country, so be it, im glad guns aren't allowed here and i feel safe going wherever i like to go. (hell i even live in a so-called problem-district)

Driving home they had a brief audio bite for Mitt Romney on the radio concerning the shooting. He pseudo blamed video games. sigh.

Yeah. We're gonna prevent this from ever letting something like this ever happening with that kind of mind set.

Thoughts and prayers goes out to victim's families.

No media outlet even tries to explain why.. No of them even ask why... Weird

They don't want to. They want to push easy scapegoats as the reason for such things,.  Rather than talk about a person's motives and why (or how) someone could be that evil.

Agreed.  They want to try and brush it off as other things and not accept the real fact.

There is real evil in this world.  Not everything can be explained with politically correct statements.  This is evil, nothing more nothing less.

Awe I think I understand now.  The drug company and insurance lobbyists that run the country don't want their profits effected.  Mass shootings are almost always tied to psychiatric drugs..

Ps.  22 kids were stabbed today in china by a crazy person.. So we know it's not the gun who gets the blame

It was an overly broad example... but yes.  Assaults at work happen fairly often everywhere.

More often in the US, since the US has more violent crime....

but that has less to do with guns and gun control then it does the US having a culture of being giant violent dicks.

If the USA and the Netherlands were to switch gun laws today, and be forced to hold them for 10 years.... I think you'd probably see very little change in violent crime.

Spree killings on the other hand are totally different and independent from violent crimes.  They've been seemingly more common recently. (everywhere not just the USA) despite dropping crime rates in the USA.

Point being... if this isn't a statistical anomoly (possible considering again, doesn't happen that often),  there is a big underlying issue to why the spree killings are suddenly happening.

the thing that saddens me is that in recent memory we've had
The Arizona shooting
Aurora Theater shotting
2 mall shootings
and now this

and yet no real talk about gun control/ban WTF!?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2012/12/14/china-knife-attack-school.html

Knife control talks now please!

Read the article and you will notice two things.

1) The guy attacking with the knife didn't kill anyone.

2) Most of the people injured were not seriously injured.

Unlike the guy with the gun.

Wow... thats a poor argument. Just because nobody died doesn't mean that it isn't serious. Also, I don't know why nobody died but I guarentee you if the man really cared all 22 of his victims would be dead

I never said that it wasn't serious, but the idea that he could have killed the 22 people with the knife if he "cared" is a terrible argument. The fact is that it is easier to kill many people with a gun.

So sad..

See, this is the time of event that makes it hard for me to believe in a god, at least one that is not indifferent to human suffering. How something this evil can be allowed to happen is disheartening..

So you think God doesn't exist because people do evil things, really?

God isn't indifferent to human suffering. That is why murder is against His commandments.

Nature (God) kills more people than anything.

this is really sad :(

Actually Murder's in the 10 commandments to promote stability in the Jewish community. In that same book, God commanded genocide.

I guess we'll never know.

I'd rather have our European gun-laws (meaning banning of firearms) stay the same just in case.
