3DS considerably down on 2011. Lack of software be damned, last year's system seller games are still out there for people to buy into for transitioning from DS to 3DS. If this was a normal hand held cycle 3DS would be up YoY. This is the tablet and smartphone effect you're seeing. The hand held console market can survive with tabs and phones, but expectations of overall sales need to be adjusted down.
Surprised at the PS360 gap, but yeah I think the PS3 Arcade seems to have found a market. If ever there was a PS3 bought for Blu-ray first and gaming second it would be this sku. Funny though that it's only 8 Gig less than one of the earliest sku's yet it seems to tiny and impossible to work with.

The PS3 also outsold in 2011, but by a little margin. By how things are going, the difference this time will be bigger, and next year the PS3 will rape everything. :D
For the record, launch figures in Europe for the current gen. We can see that WiiU is under everything, notably outsold 3 to 1 by the 599€ fat PS3.

360 down 20% YOY for this week, pretty awful.
PS3 down 7% YOY for this week, holding strong.
Not totally convinced the Hitman numbers are correct, opens at 450K across PS3 and 360 then drops to less than 80K at this time of the year? I don't believe that.
The 360-PS3 gap is super close this week, it's gonna make an interesting watch for the rest of the year :D
