N64 its almost not fair, Xbox had good games but alot of them were multiplat, it had just a few to call its own, while N64 did have a handful of exclusives

When you compare 2 consoles, it is the library what matters. Not just the exclusives.

well the fact that you can get those same games anywherelse makes the value of the console fall

Ok. Can I play those games I listed on N64? You know, the second console of this comparison?

Come on. If you want to use that logic, then N64 has StarCraft, Quake, and Sim City 2000.

If you need to pad your list with ports, multiplatform games, and titles like Kill.Switch then you have a losing argument.

Oh, by the way, those "couple of zeldas, mario games and james bond shooter" are universally adored, and consistently rank among the very best video games ever made.

The Xbox was a good console, with some great titles. It just doesn't compare favorably to N64. There's no shame in that.

im with Die on this one, and your statement made no sense as you are comparing two consoles from two different gens. How about comparing those Xbox games to PS2 and GC and you'll see that more than half are multiplat

And in this thread, we are comparing... 2 consoles from different gens? Wow.

yes we are, how about we make a list of games that were not available on those systems respecting competing consoles, that way we can get a more accurate look at things, to throw GTA games in favor for Xbox over N64 despite they didnt even EXIST in N64's time or were much popular on the competing console(PS2) is absurd as i can use the exact same argument for N64, since you cant play n64 games on xbox.

If N64 had those games, then it had them. Is it that hard to understand?

Those games are part of xbox library, which is far superior to N64:s pitiful library. Of course everyone has different opinions and it is fine if you prefer to have those couple of mario/zelda/whatnot games compared to what xbox had.

And that list was just the xbox games I own. I know all of them aren't great and there are definitely some gems missing.

I'm sorry that nintendo does not get third party games, but that does not remove those from comparisons. This thread is about "which console did you enjoy more", not "which console had better exclusives". Do you only play exclusives or what?

actually now that i think of it, if we are comparing the two overall libraries then i could see how someone would say xbox, since it did get alot of good MP games. But i would still give it to N64 because alot of the games had lasting impact. Mario 64, Zelda OOT, GE to name a few.

OK. It's just hard to take you seriously when you describe the N64 library as "pitiful."

If you really believe that then I guess I don't know what to say.
