Topic title says it all. What's the scariest video game or video game level? Levels can also be portions of a certain game.

For me, the scariest game would have to be Fatal Frame 2, because getting spooked was mandatory in order to get through the game, and the scares weren't that bad, either.

As for video game levels, I'd have to say the Cradle from Thief: Deadly Shadows is the scariest. The atmosphere was just perfect, especially if you played in the dark in front of a large TV with surround sound.  

There were a few levels from Condemned that freaked me out.

The opening of RE4 was also pretty terrifying.

I'd Have to say the castle and the island from RE4 were the scariest 'levels'.

2. Half Life - The headcrabs would always make me jump

i would say RE remake for cube
and the mansion in it as a whole

Abandoned Shopping Mall - Condemned (best level ever)
Eastern Hallway in the Umbrella Mansion - Resident Evil 1 (ultra scary back in '96 when it just started to pop up on everyone's radar).

Some of the insanity effects in Eternal Darkness scared me shitless. Um yea lets go with that.

Video Games aren't scary.

Doom was frightening because I was 8 years old when I was playing it.

Resident Evil 3.......enough said.
