Can't agree with you there CC lad. Christmas accelerates sales across the board so comparing 10 weeks of vita sales from March to 10 weeks of WiiU sales from December is a very very unfair comparison.

On a side note. The WiiU will be fine and will go on to sell 10's of millions. 40k is a little disappointing but if supply issues are to be believed then that's your answer right there.

Sony has actually outsold the 360 plenty of times in the uk this year.

Contrary to belief but sony has a strong position on the uk market, and they are giving microsoft a run for there money.

It is a lot harder now. What I want to know is how well it did in your area. France was putting down the most preorders behind germany. I think considering the number nintendo uk expected was 25,000 selling nearly double that in two days is a good go. They are likely disappointed in the software since they wanted it to crack the top 10.

Sorry but I see that as straw grasping from those guys. I suggest seeing how fast it will take to reach 100,000 units to compare to vita so they use timings as a reasoning why it could outsell it. If shipping units stay on track it will probably sell 100,000 in no time and that is why they are using that angle. The truth is it isn't so much to do with christmas. People simply weren't desperate to get a vita then.

That isn't straw grasping that is speaking from asking around and observing things. I have been talking to people about 3ds, vita and wii u you know. Funnily enough I have never seen such big lines as I did when I picked up my wii u on friday since wii came out. Not with ps3. Not with 3ds. Not with vita. The only big lines I have seen for game related stuff here lately is fifa or call of duty.

I've already said what I believe is going on here like 4 times already. The majority of demand came from germany and france so they shipped the majoirty there and are taking things slower here.

What I have observed here is people go nuts for i-(insert name here) and everything else sells slower. If a system launches next year at £425 mark my words, it is going to struggle more then 2007. I've asked around why the reason is they haven't picked vita and yeah there was one that said psp was too much like ps2. But the majority said money.
