Should we talk about that "sold out" not mean that there is literally no console available? Even when the Wii has been "sold out" among the world you had a good chance of getting one if you called stores. But only few people want a console so bad they drive 50 miles to get one. They will wait until it is in stock again at their local stores.

There were already rumors weeks before launch that UK and germany only gets around 50.000 consoles each.

Absolutely agree with you here. The one year lead will be meaningless if they don't get their shipments in order.

Even 3DS, the west doesn't really have many appealing games (apart from a few core Nintendo ones). No disrespect to VITA, but NIntendo if they just pushed the 3DS harder it would be kicking the VITA's ass right now by a significantly large margin.

1) That was 4 days for Vita vs 2 for Wii U

2) Vita then dropped to 17k the next (full) week. If Wii U has stock available, it will be well ahead of 17k

3) UK as a basis for comparison will always help Sony consoles over Nintendo ones.

I think after 3ds nintendo are being more careful how they approach here. We brits aren't buying gadgets or haolidays anymore. This is likely to do with stock. It sounds like it is pretty much sold out and it is a higher number then the rumored 25, 000. Nintendo should be pleased with themselves.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D
