I'd say keep it, but only because I bend over backwards to not sell any consoles or games I own. But if you really need the money, and the Xbox has become an expensive paper weight, then I guess sell it.

Sell it, also the Xbox 720 is supposed to be right around the corner so I would wait and see what they have in store for that.
Of all places, you decide to ask this on VGChartz? That's like asking a bartender if you should start drinking
Anyway, I highly recommend that you keep it. It's unquestionably the best god damn console on the planet.
Well lot of BS talk again, but here is an honest advice:
Never sell any of your consoles. NEVER. There will be a time when you want to play on it again. I rebought my genesis for example.
More consoles in you house = more awesome.
It is that simple.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I honestly had no idea about selling it or not. I like the console, have no regrets of buying it I'm just seeing little reason to use it.
Other people made a strong point, though: with the new Xbox coming out soon in the future, maybe I should sell it while it has some value. Also the next Xbox will most likely be backwards compatible - if I ever feel like playing the old games, I could always buy the next gen one.

I understand. But I don't have much space (one of reasons I don't use Kinect or Move).
So I tend to sell some older consoles that are obsolete (8 bit and 16 bit consoles I can emulate, PS3 runs PSOne games). The only consoles I own at the moment are Sega Saturn (will soon get rid of it because emulators are very good), PlayStation2, PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita. I simply have no room!

The Xbox 360 is big here in America but not Japan because Microsoft doesn't really have a whole lot of games that appeal to Japanese gamers. I agree the Xbox 360 is overflooded with shooters, but so is the PS3. All the biggest hits on PS3 are shooters, it's sad really. Personally i'm more into action-adventure games like Tomb Raider, Uncharted. I like a game with a good story. Japanese people typically like more RPGs, shoot em ups, fighting games, and casual kind of games. Am I right?
If you don't play anything on it, it's not doing you any good anyway.
I'd never imagine selling one of my consoles. even if I don't play it, but if you aren't as easily emotionally attached to your consoles as I am, what are you waiting for?
I LOVE ICELAND!

That depends on how you gauge it. Lets take the Top 25 titles of the gen on both, for instance. Plenty of variety on both. OT: I just became a heavy PC gamer, but my 360 and PS3 will always be found somewhere, and I'll probably still use them, from time-to-time, when the next consoles come out. That's just me, but if I were you, I wouldn't sell it. |
Very true, not trying to sound like a fanboy. Both consoles offer something unique and good variety. Depends what kind of mood i'm in really. Some days i'll have an urge to play some Uncharted or Heavy Rain on PS3 and other days i'll have a need to play some Alan Wake or Perfect Dark Zero on Xbox 360.
the good 360exclusiv games support was sacrified for kinect games.only halo, gow, forza remaining.
though all three games got a release in the past months you haven't found somrthing of interrest?
well, next year the game support will be worser therefore I think, sale.
but keep the box till january, black friday has ruined the prizes for used 360 this month
