Forums - Nintendo - Will there be a Smash Bros shortage?

I wouldn't worry about it that much. I've found that in general if you hit up a place like Wal-Mart or Fred Meyers early enough then you'll get a copy no problem.

Though I did reserve a copy myself so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

How on earth could there be shortages. Nintendo knows the importance of this title. The game was pushed back a month. AND The game doesn't have an aligned Ww launch. Seems like those 3 points confirm the 'no shortage'.

I guess the only reason why SSB:B could have been pushed back was that the testers though some characters needed some 'tweaking' in like strengh, skills, diversity etc... To get a better overall balance in the game.

It's rarely that a game get a shortage and when it is it's useally because the game is not as well known.

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

When i pre-order my games, i usually get them 2-3 days before official launch. Maybe it's because you pre-order @ gamestop ... j/k... I live in Europe btw, no gamestops there ^^.

jep and when we pre-order we don't have to put mony on the table, they will just call when you can pick up the title and ask if you still want it (unless it's afcours a pre-order kit).

You obviously have never preordered.  Try it.  I have NEVER NOT gotten a game I wanted on day one.  No matter how big the game is.

I don't think there will be shortages for more than a week or two, and even then you should be ok if you preorder.

Yet another one...
