Not talking about the OP. Talking about comments. I'm really happy myself that it is doing so well but I think it would best not to make this into a competition.

That is kind of hard to say. I'll explain. i dont know about the 360 or wii but Im assuming they are selling less this year than previous years and so is PS3. This is one week but yoy it is still going to sell less than last year. Maybe i just dont think its as big of a deal as people are making it sound I dont know. I was just happy knowing the PS3 sold 625k because that is impressive for a 6 year old machine

It is obvious why PS3 is up, when you have plenty of room to move in the first place there is a good chance it will go up. 360 has reached it's weekly peak already last year and Microsoft even admitted they were suprised it sold so well, so probably didn't ship much more above what they sold as they didn't expect these sales. Wii, we all know is on the way out.
Considering the 360 still outsold the PS3, nothing to brag about.
onl;y thing is at those prices surely sony was losing money on units, because im sure the retailers wouldnt sell those items at that much of a lose unless retailers are ripping people to shreds on what they buy from sony directly

I like you CGI, but you're just selectively turning a blind eye now, and you know it bud.
These sales are impressive, yes. Anyone who denies that is insane. The question is WHY. Why did the PS3 have this jump? Especially considering there were no big exclusives and the X360 had Halo.
X360 market saturation?
PS3 slim?
Good bundles?
Price cuts?
PSASBR hardware boost? (Lolz)
It all just seems too good to be true to me. Did Sony ACTUALLY release a press statement? Did IGN and the like just copy Gematsu? Why didn't Sony release an official statement? What if Sony were hacked and this email was sent by hackers?
It's a bizarre situation.

Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right
