Uncharted really is a big surprise, if you remember how the first game sold.

Drake's Fortune was sitting at ~2.6 Million before U2 released. Its simply amazing that Uncharted 2 and 3 will both pass the 6 Million mark, and that Drake's Fortune itself still has a hit at 4.5 Million.

Nobody would have expected the series to be passing 15 Million with 3 main games, back when the original opened up to less than 300k WW.

Sony reported shipped numbers.

Isn't it "assumed" that VGC reports actual sales?

Not sure, just wondering. Maybe they always adjust to shipped and we just live with that.

So Nintendo says 400k WiiU and 300k Wii for Black Friday week and that = Sales to consumers?

So Microsoft says 750k Xbox360 for Black Friday week and that = Sales to consumers?

Sony says 525k for Black Friday week and that = Shipped to stores?

How do you come to that conclusion?

Going by that we would have to assume Sony must have sold a big chunk of that other 2M shipment they announced only a few weeks back. If so then we are undertracking even more!!!

Uncharted is a series that can appeal to almost anyone, that's why it does so great :)

Yeah Vgchartz has a pretty bad rap amongst other gaming sites for making numbers up. It is odd how they could be that badly wrong. They adjust the numbers every week aswell. They'd never want to admit to doing such a thing.

What do people think the projected LT of Halo 4, AC4 and BO 2?

I think 11+ million for Halo 4, 10 million for AC3 and 26 million for BO2 (all on Xbox and PS3 only)

I think ALL the companies only report shipped numbers - isn't that right? I don't know, that's why I asked in my first post.

That's what I thought anyway - that companies report shipped and VGC tried to get actual sales.

If that's not the case, that's cool.

There's so much debate about shipped vs sold blah blah blah that I wasn't sure if that was the case in this situation.
