As my signature implies.

A year headstart means nothing...The X360 sold like 4 million in the first year? 4 million is not worth it..

Gaming has changed since then, the Xbox brand was miniscule at that time. If the X720 has a year headstart then that will translate to at least a 10m+ headstart on Sonys next-gen console

I bet both consoles would launch within six months of time gap in between. Sony knows what it means to give a head start for Microsoft, after having trailed for so long and yet 1.8 mn shy.

This thread make no sense whatsoever.

2013 is going to be amazing year for PS3. So many great exclusives starting with Sly 4. It is true 360, Wii are dying. However PS3 has good 2-3yrs left in it.

The entire USA baby! If it ain't American it ain't right. No Brits allowed.

I am switching to PC!

Don't play Grand Theft Auto if you have got something against the British. Thanks.

Wii U Nintendo Network ID, Borode

XBOX Live ID, Borode

I would recommend that Sony loyalists save up and buy a Wii U and 360, and Microsoft loyalists do the same for PS3 and Wii U. Limiting oneself to one-third of the market doesn't make a whole lot of sense for anyone. Unless you simply can't afford more than one console.

What with Sony hinting at pre-e3 announcement of the next ps4 before 720 is announced and rumours that MS was having problems with the IBM processor in the next xbox it may well be the other way around.

But as i'm in the UK we'll probably get it last anyway like all Sony consoles (irony being Europe is the biggest market for not only PS3 but also Vita).

But it's all conjecture they may both launch late next year they may both launch 2014.

Hell Sega may launch a new console.. :)

What Halo game do you anticipate coming with a 2013 'launch' of a new Xbox? Do you think 343i will be able to churn out Halo 5 in just over a year, or are we talking about Halo 4: Kinect 2.0 edition or something?

I'd have thought not many, anyway. To begin with, if Call of Duty & Assassin's Creed fans cared about playing with mind-blowing graphics, they'd have converted to PC a long time ago. It might sway a few people over, but I don't think it will have a very big impact.

And between God of War: Ascension, The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xillia and the potential for Final Fantasy Versus XIII & The Last Guardian plus all the multiplats, I think PS3 will have a busy enough year to keep any fan happy.

I would agree that it seems increasingly likely that we're going to see a 2013 nextbox release and a 2014 PS4 release, but with the amount of rumours and conflicting information out there I guess we're just going to have to wait and see!

Halo 4S

I personally think Sony would make their games mostly for a Nintendo console exclusively, due to its popularity in Japan, and no fees for online.

I already have my repair claim ready. Anyways, its always better to give it some times, but I want both
