Crossover fighting games are great gateway games. I didn't care much about Zelda before I played SSB on the N64. :D

Yeah. No wonder I actually liked Assassain's Creed II and Brotherhood...


I will buy the HD Collection as well as Jak and Daxter now. Cant wait for the new Sly now coming next year.


I have seriously considered getting a Vita to play Sly 4. But since a new developer has taken the reins, I may wait for reviews or word from fellow Sly fans.

The guys making Sly 4 did the Sly collection. Also Sucker Punch has said that they are watching what the new developer does closely because they still want the same old Sly Cooper game feel. Sly Cooper was my first PlayStation exclusive game that I played on the PS2 and I can't wait for Sly 4!


Promising news, but I just want to be extra sure before I shell out money for a new handheld. I'm also trying to get a new PC and Wii U while I'm at it. :/

Those seem like quite niche titles. The vast majority of PS gamers won't be remotely interested in them imo. It's all about the multi-plats!

Xillia is the only that is a very niche title. Last of Us is nearly guaranteed to be a million seller.

I'm not conviced that Sony is the same as they used to be. In fact, that's a big reason why I didn't buy a PS3 this generation... definitely liked them more when they were more capably enchroaching on Nintendo's audience. Even I had a PS2 several years back.

Totally understandable because a lot has changed since then. Sony have always used that "anything you can do I can do better" approach. Sony and Nintendo always been in their own respective markets while they were competitors. SOny always had the bigger audience out of the 2 and that is why MS infiltrated the PS market


It kinda makes me sad though, because it seems as if Sony is spending a lot of resources on taking back the audience Microsoft pilfered. And I'm definitely not part of that audience by any means.


Yep, I read somewhere a couple years back that Microsoft saw that Sony was taking over the living room with their videogame consoles and they wanted in. It's the same reason Microsoft is going so hard after Apple. Well, they failed with the Zune, but you get the picture. They want to monopolize any multimedia market they can get their hands on.


So my dislike for Microsoft is as justified as I thought it was. Their meddling has been souring the efforts of the entire industry. *wags fist*


LOL Microsoft had no game to enter the gaming industry with either, so they just bought Halo from under Steve Jobs nose because he refused to buy Bungie. Lets just say he was super pissed because he had planned for Halo to be Apples big exclusive to stand as a viable game player as well as computer.


Well, I'd like to say I equally despise Apple, but I'm typing this from an iPad 2... which I got as a gift, so I guess it's okay.

Apple traded up though. Angry Birds made for a great timed exclusive. :D I hate that game.

LOL Angry birds would be a great game.....with duck hunt mechanics.

It wouldn't much different from Duck Hunt for sure. People like to put the NES Zapper against the TV screen for maximum accuracy, which is about the same as tapping a touchscreen.

What makes you think Microsoft will launch first or that Sony would let them get a whole year head-start again?
We already have rumors of near-final PS4 dev kits, we don't have these for the next Xbox. In fact the last rumor/leak told us that they were having horrible yields and there was most likely going to be a delay.

Let's pretend this is true though, Microsoft does launch much earlier. Will I switch? Depends on the price and their business practices. Basic Online gaming should be free IMO. If it's not, then Xbox Live better offer some amazing content or value for me to pay that subscription. Games are also obviously a factor, they need to have an amazing game for me to impulse buy.

I'm more likely to buy a nintendo system early than a 720. Even at this point, I don't want a 360 and it has a large library at a fair price. Can't justify it because i already have a ps3 which shares 90 percent of games and has exclusives suited better towards me. I will own a ps4, a couple years post launch though.

Yep. I'll have access to most of the best non-Nintendo current-gen games and I'll bet set for the next-gen, too. All my handheld/mobile bases will be covered once I get a Vita, and I probably won't need a new tablet for a while. There's still a slight chance of me getting a PS4, but only if the stars align.

No i will be happy to stick with gaming on PC and PS3 until PS4 is out for at least 2 years. I will probably never get an Xbox. Also Wii U looks very appealing to me too
