I'd just like to say, I'm completely in agreement with STAGE, I don't think the slight increase in graphics is going to make current PS3 and 360 drop their consoles to play games which they can already play (and some of those games look worse right now on the Wii-U).

Once the new Xbox and PS4 come out, then Wii-U support will be dropped just like 360 and PS3 support will be.

I'm 4 levels into Black Ops 2 and it feels like I'm playing Declassified. So far it's with CoD3 the worst I've ever played and I played all PC and console ones (except Finest Hour). I hope it gets better quickly.

I think your problem is that you are still playing a Call of Duty game to this day with some kind of expectation.

Well its a newer console so it should be more powerful than last gen. But right now there isnt any game out there ( i know they are launch games) that look more powerful. As long as i dont see any Wii U game that will look better than Beyound, God of war ascension and The last of us as long i have no reason to buy it.

And even if it is more powerful it doesnt bring anything if developers doesnt use the tech. Its like saying hey the PC is more powerful than the actual consoles but only 1 or 2 pc games each year look better thanUncharted 3 or something. Developers must use the tech otherwise its only some specs on paper.

So i come too this thread and i see and old fashioned console war between, PS3 and Xbox 360. This thread is about how Wii U is capable of better graphics than both consoles, not which has the best looking games. I am pretty sure that if Microsoft really wanted to push graphics in a game and where willing to use the budget, they could make a 360 game that looked better than Uncharted 3 for example. The same goes for Sony obviously, as the Last of Us seems to take the graphic up a level again. But none of this matters, you don't play console games if you care about graphics...

A game that came out for PC 5 years ago (Crysis 1) looks better than anything that can be seen on any console. Even if you have a 5 year old PC (yes it was expensive when it came, and its pretty bad by todays standard, but it would still blow both 360 and PS3 out of the water). If you buy a PC today, for less than $300 (minus the screen) it has better graphics than PS3 and 360 easily.

So please stop saying, game X looks better than game Y, since both have crappy graphics when compared to PC, we don't play consoles to have the best graphics, we play, cause of the exclusives and the bigger player base online (also no cheaters).

The Wii U is the most powerful console available to gamers.

If all you care about is great graphics, you should buy a Wii U until something else comes out.

$29.99 left and no screen, no audio, no graphics card and no CPU (and likely no CPU cooler). And given how shitty these cheap parts are (especially the PSU) it won't last you very long.


As for the Crysis comment that is a very very bad comparison. Show me a PC from 2005 that would be able to run this with higher settings than the 360 (so that it's a notable improvement or how you'd call it "blow out of the water"). I'm not saying it's impossible but the costs for that would be insane, much much more expensive than a launch 360

Halo is not a graphical game. Its has and always will be about gameplay. No Halo has ever been about graphics.
