Forums - Sony Discussion - IGN: Where Is the Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified Review?

1UP Review: D-/A+

"Black Ops: Declassified seems to be completely unaware of the series' lineage, while simultaneously remaining ignorant of some of the basic rules of game design. It's an uninspired mess that's more concerned with making money than delivering any sort of enjoyment to the player. It's saving graces include the fact that the campaign is over before it can cause any permanent damage, and that the online component seems to actively deter you from playing. If Black Ops 2 did its best to advance the series, Declassified seems hell-bent on negating all of that progress."

Absolutely brutal!

Yikes!

And when you use their chart to convert into their 0 to 100 scale? http://www.metacritic.com/about-metascores

That D- turns into a 16. Ouch.

I've actually reviewed CoD: WaW on the DS. I gave it a better score than any of the critics I've seen for CoD on Vita.
In fact, WaW on DS has a Metacritic average of 75 (8.3 user review).

Is it a better game than CoD Vita? Probably not. But one had hype to be good, the other was expected to suck hard. I'm sure we can all guess which is which.

I actually really enjoyed 2 of the call of duty games on the DS the online modes of http://www.metacritic.com/game/ds/call-of-duty-modern-warfare---mobilized are still really populated it only takes about 30secs to a min to find a full game and yeah.... it's very solid gunning down action online. this is of course keeping the consoles limitations in check I mean it has a 73% rating on metacritic and it looks far worse graphically than the vita game, but at the same time if the megadrive version of Zero Tolerence was released today on the 360 for 60euros it would be laughed out of it.

Just saying the Ds versions of CoD look worse than this, but from a machine with 4mb of ram and a 66mhz arm9 POWERHOUSE buzzin away inside it, those visuals are steller.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Eurogamer finds the current metascore very unfair judging by their score

I just want to see IGN's review for the pure laughs. Looking forward to Gametrailers' as well.

This is the first time I've seen folks anticipating an IGN review so anxiously.  I hope they force Colin Moriarty to review it.

I'd like to see the Gametrailers review myself though.

Metacritic just jumped to 12 reviews...

The fact that it's at a solid 31 after 12 reviews is actually pretty amazing. I also can't wait for IGN and GameTrailers to do their reviews. Should be entertaining.

Gamereactor said some nice words in their review:

"Åtminstone rutan konst är trevligt."

Surprising score from gamesradar: http://www.gamesradar.com/call-of-duty-black-ops-declassified-review/

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Anyone actually notice that every review is using the same screenshots? Which means activision didn't even bother to create new media assets reviewers could use..

It's finally here!
For anyone saying they hate the Vita... you'll be surprised by their score. No doubt among the best the game will get in its lifetime.
