This is a completely unfair comparison.
If you're going to use Halo 4 global sales, compare it to global sales for the movies. But I guess MS can't do that because then they would have nothing to brag about.

Avengers grossed 81 mil dollars day 1 in America. America accounted for 41.2% of total sales. America sales are far more frontloaded than the rest of the world. I'll humor you though and we will pretend America's initial gross was also 41.2% of worldwide day one gross.That would mean Avengers grossed 197mil day one across all regions.

The reason Microsoft mentions only America is because the movie did not release on the same day almost everywhere. Day 1 figures for the avengers simply don't exist because movie tracking in many smaller countries is not done on a daily bases. Had they existed they would still be lower than Halo 4.

Yeah I know, that's why I said in a later comment that they should have waited until tomorrow so they would have 1st week data to use.

True. We're getting GTA V around March next year so that combined with the next COD and the release of Battelfield 4 should make for an exciting year for the industry. I think the YoY decline will finally stop.

Of course also the possibility of new consoles.

Don't forget about NSMB2. It'll get a boost through the holidays and probably will end up with 5m this year.

So halo, Pokemon, minecraft are top 3 exclusives on consoles and handhelds.

home consoles only its halo, minecraft and then? 

Currently its One Piece on PS3 at just under a Million (JP only), followed closely by Kinect Star Wars.

Pretty unbelievable when you think this was 343 first game ever. The quality and sales are both through the roof. MS must be very happy they put this awesome studio together.

Even with sales like this MS needs to put 720 on the market followed by new ips from their studios, they can do another Gears of War and Halo if they want, Ryse should be a good game but we need more, i want Alan Wake 2 and Conker back!

Huh?  No chance. 360 and PS3 will be down in a hefty way next year, hardware and software.

They won't be down that much. Besides Wii U will be out with plenty of consoles to go around. We might even get PS4 + Xbox Next. 
Vita might pick up sales(hopefully) and 3DS can too.

It's definitely possible IMO.

The LE console comes with a normal copy of Halo 4... so no.
